I finally have assembled and successfully configured my new computer! Whew, I am exhausted. Next time I think I will get someone else to build me one, lol.
Specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo : Wolfdale E8400 @ 3.00GHz
4GB RAM
500GB HDD
Sound Blaster XFi sound card
nVidia 8800GT, 512MB GDDR3 video card
(2) Samsung 22X DVD burners
and of course, good ol Windows XP Pro, with SP3.
I'm sooooo tired.

Because I've been trying to figure out desktops and laptops before deciding which one to put my money on... I actually almost understand what a few of those specs are. LOL. Hope the new computer is working like a dream! Putting it together yourself is quite an accomplishment. :-)

Well, yeah! But I love my mac to much to bother with the expense of building a PC.
(Though XP Pro is a decent operating system for what it's worth.)
